The interior design of the hotel is presided over by Jean-Michel Gathy, Denniston’s principal designer, who has been specializing in ultra-luxury hotel design for many years and has extensive experience in interior design and landscape design, And in creating an impressive, unforgettable space atmosphere and interior environment for luxury hotel brands.

Aman New York’s design is influenced by Asian styles in response to Aman’s Asian roots. The entire hotel exudes a luxurious feel, with 83 elegant rooms and suites, three social dining venues, a world-class spa and the world’s first Aman City residence.

Each of the hotel’s 83 rooms, totaling 750 square feet, will feature a fully functional fireplace and a large mural by contemporary Japanese artist Ryuko Adachi, inspired by Hasegawa and others’ 15th-century masterpiece ‘Pine Forest,’ a rare presence in New York’s urban culture. Jean-michel Gathy also uses delicate hues and creative lighting to create a soothing and private atmosphere, while providing guests who prefer a more modern atmosphere with unique revolving doors that open to reveal modern fixtures and bathroom furniture.

The wraparound garden terrace is the hotel’s main feature, while an open-air bar with full views of Central Park is designed based on the unique cityscape. Jean-michel Gathy incorporates elements such as a water feature and a central furnace to create a strong visual narrative and spatial energy that further enriches the man-made environment outdoors.
