Gordon Ord – Freelance Artist

My name is Gordon Ord and painting is something I have had a desire to do since my art class in 7th grade. After retiring four years ago I decided to pursue my desire and signed up for oil painting classes. The classes are conducted by a Mr. Gerald Ruggiero a very accomplished artist. In addition to Mr. Ruggiero's class I have been attending workshops and classes at The Scottsdale Art School in Scottsdale AZ. I have recently had art work shown at the school in the Circle of Friends Show. Also I had works selected for showing at The Sundust Art Gallery in Gilbert AZ in March of this year. The gallery is displaying paintings of Sonoran Desert scenes, some farm scenes, and floral and still life.

Landscapes

Landscapes are of Arizona's Sonoran Desert, farm scenes, and lake and Central Missouri scenes. Most are done Plein Air.

Still Life

Still life is where one can use imagination and creativity. There is no limit to objects or arrangements one may create.

Florals

Flowers are wonderful things. They are beautiful and come in all shapes and sizes. Flowers are truly natures beautiful gift to us.
